1. Unclutter! Pack and store (or give away, if necessary) at least half of your personal effects.

Check all appliances, furnace, hot water heater and laundry connections to ensure their working condition and repair as needed. Change filters and batteries.
17. Use neutral paint, decor and carpeting to create a home for any lifestyle. Decorate with bold color accents.
18. Replace patterned shower curtains and towels with new ones in neutral or a single bright colour, unless your bathroom is monochromatic.
19. Consider painting your cement basement and garage floors in a neutral colour.
20. Help to create a mood, from fresh flowers to fresh baked goods smells. Freshen up daily with those chores that need to be done often.
